Dilrukshi Gamage Ph.D.I am a senior lecturer at the University of Colombo School of Computing in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Currently, I serve as an Affiliate at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet Society at Harvard University as well. Before that I was a postdoctoral fellow at the Sasahara Lab, Department of Innovation Science, Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo Tech) in Japan.
My research is in the field of Human-Computer Interaction and Computational Social Science. I primarily focus on sociteil implications of AI - specifically "DeepFake/ AI" generated Misinformation and societal implications. June: Invited to deliver a guest lecture at the the research lab head by Prof. Ingmar Weber, a renowned Computational Social Scientist at the Saarland University, Germany June: As an affiliate from Berkman Klein Centre, Harvard University, I facilitated a session on Deepfakes and AI bias in the Independent Tech Researchers’ Summit June: As member of the Asia Sub Committee (ASC) in SIGCHI, I took part in the regional meeting along with the members at the City University Hong Kong May: I am going to be an Associate Chair for CHI2025 - " Understanding People Mixed Methods" at the premier Human Computer Interaction conference by SIGCHI in Yokohama Japan 2025 Apr: Along with Lionel Brossi, and Meeri Haataja at BKC Harvard, we led an interesting discussion at the AI and Bias Policy Lab lead by Prof. @RangitadeSilva at UPenn.
