When did I get involve?

From May 2015
What is Stanford Crowd Research Project?

Since almost all of the crowd in crowdsource platforms are facing a challenge with high wages given to the platform, problems with having to be recognize to work in the platform and usability issue, mainly can be explained as they are notoriously bad at ensuring work quality, producing fair wages for workers, and making it easy to author effective tasks. It's not hard to imagine that we could do better.

As a solution to this problem Michael Bernstein, Stanford Computer Science and Rajan Vaish a PhD student from UCSC is leading a crowdsource research selected from all over the world.

All about this project is in http://crowdresearch.stanford.edu/w/index.php?title=Main_Page
What is my role in this Project?

I lead a  9 members team from Sri Lanka- 4 from University of Moratuwa, 4 from Rajarata University and 1 from industry.
We are actively generating ideas, prototypes, design and contribute as milestones to the main project.
We also have weekly meeting with Professor Michael as much as we can with the limited internet speed.

What do I like and learn from this research?

I would say involving to research is one of the best thing I achieved.  I always endorse collaborative nature of work.
In this project I met people with so many diverse background - specially I loved the encouraging and very welcoming crowd. It is a nursery to learn and make mistakes go crazy with ideas, do rapid prototypes.

I met so many interesting people, which will help me to improve my life long learning skills.
